Q: What is Genesis Rewards?
A: Genesis Rewards is a program offered exclusively by Genesis Press to benefit Upstate schools with donated printing/printing services.

Q: How does the program work?
A: The program provides “vouchers” to customers who utilize Genesis’ commercial printing services, which these customers, in turn, can donate to the local schools of their choice to offset the schools’ printing needs. For any commercial printing order over $500, Genesis Press will provide a voucher worth 10% of the order’s cost (rounded to the nearest $50 increment) in Genesis Rewards points. For example, when a customer completes full payment of an order for $1,250, they will be rewarded $150 in Genesis Rewards vouchers. The customer then can donate the voucher to a local school. The school can redeem the voucher for up to 50% of the cost on any print job or printing services that the school orders through Genesis Press, excluding sales tax, delivery charges or postage when applicable.

Q: Why has Genesis established the Genesis Rewards Program?
A: Genesis recognizes the budget crunch that our local schools are faced with, and as parents of Upstate school children, Genesis is interested in doing its part to ensure that our schools have the resources they need to help students succeed.

Q: How do I qualify for the Genesis Rewards Program?
A: Any customer that places an order with Genesis for printing/print services in excess of $500 automatically qualifies for the Genesis Rewards program upon full payment of the order.  You’ll then receive a voucher to give to the school of your choice.  

Q: Is there a minimum purchase amount that qualifies for the Genesis Rewards program?
A: For all orders of $500 or more, Genesis will award Genesis Rewards vouchers totaling 10% of the value of the order.

Q: Can I give my Genesis Rewards credit to any school I like?
A: You can provide your Genesis Rewards credits to any school—public or private— that is based in the Upstate of South Carolina.  Genesis Rewards credits must be used on schools that teach children in K-12th grades.    Colleges, Universities and Technical Schools are not eligible.

Q: Do the Genesis Rewards credits expire after a certain period of time?
A: Genesis Rewards credits are valid for 1-calendar year from the date of issue.  The expiration date is listed on the voucher.

Q: Is there a minimum account balance that schools need to begin redeeming their rewards from Genesis?
A: Schools can begin using their account balance immediately towards 50% of the purchase of printing/printing services.  Schools can use the Genesis Rewards vouchers in $50 increments towards ½ the cost of the overall print job.  For example, if a school has $500 worth of Genesis rewards, they could use all $500 on an order with Genesis of $1,000.  On an order of $500, the school would be able to apply up to $250 on that particular order.  The school would then be credited for the remaining $250 Genesis Rewards to use on a future project/order.  In addition the $50 vouchers will be one-time use, so if the school only wants to use $35 of a $50 voucher, they are not credited for the remaining $15.

Q: What kinds of printing and print services are schools able to receive through the Genesis Rewards Program?
A: Schools are welcome to enlist the help of Genesis on any type of project Genesis does as a normal course of business including but not limited to, printing, binding, photocopying, etc.

Q: Are there any limitations to the services that the vouchers are applicable towards?
A: Genesis Rewards credits cannot be used towards the purchase of blank paper, sales tax or delivery charges.

Q: Is there an additional cost to the business customer to participate in Genesis Rewards?
A: No, Genesis Rewards is a value-added cause related marketing program.  No costs for the donated printing/printing services are passed on to our customers in any way.

Q: When does the program take effect?
A: Genesis Rewards kicks-off officially on April 1st, and Genesis will provide all qualifying customer orders with origination dates on or after April 1st, 2011 with the appropriate credits.

Q: My school is required to use only certain printers. How, then, can we participate in the Genesis Rewards Program?
A: Often times extracurricular activity clubs or sports booster clubs are not bound by the same rules as the school.  We encourage you to check into whether or not those are viable options before ruling out participation in the Genesis Rewards program.  

Note:  We are bound by government mandate to bill for sales tax on the total pre-discounted amount of all commercial printing services.
